Our 'Victorians at Home' workshop encourages visiting students to become Victorians for the day and enables them to explore life in the Victorian era.

Combining historical facts, artifacts, period characters and hands on activities, students gain a first hand experience of Victorian life


National Curriculum

KS1 History - Can be used in conjunction with:

  • Events beyond living memory that are significant nationally or globally.
  • The lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements. Some should be used to compare aspects of life in different periods
  • Significant historical events, people and places in their own locality
  • KS2 History

  • A study of an aspect or theme of British history that extends pupils chronological knowledge beyond 1066
  • A local history study
  • KS1 English (Statutory Requirements)

  • Listen and respond appropriately to adults and their peers.
  • Participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role-play, improvisations and debates
